Join us for Adventure Camps!

Campers explore the trails and wildlife throughout Newport & Toledo in a child led, discovery based experience. Exploring the beach, building forts, climbing trees, making mud pies, running through the woods, and playing student led games are a few of our camper’s favorite activities!

Where: To give campers a variety of outdoor experiences, we meet in a variety of locations (average 5 miles from Newport). We take walking field trips throughout our local community. You will often find us exploring the beach, estuary, and forests.

Snacks: We provide a healthy morning snack such as fresh fruit, crackers, granola bars, and/or cheese. We do our best to accommodate special diets – please let us know how we can help meet your child’s needs.

Gear Required:  PLEASE SEND YOUR CHILD TO CAMP IN ALL WEATHER PLAY CLOTHES! Wearing clothes that ‘cannot get dirty’ will inhibit your child’s interactions with materials and their overall camp experience. We plan to play outside everyday, therefore please dress your child for the weather and to get muddy. This includes coats, hats, boots, and mittens on chilly days. Dressing in layers so that your child can adjust to the fluctuating temperatures is highly recommended. Students should be dressed in sturdy, comfortable shoes that are easy for students to put on independently. Hiking shoes, rubber boots, and other sturdy shoes are preferable as the terrain we hike through is uneven and often wet from dew and rain. Please label all of your child’s personal items.

It is important that you bring the following gear everyday:

  •  Backpack
  •  Reusable water bottle
  •  Waterproof coat and pants
  • Extra set of clothes they can change into (secured in a labeled ziplock in backpack)
  •  A sack lunch (peanut free)

Cost: Camp Tuition is $35/day unless otherwise noted. A portion of each fully paid tuition goes towards the scholarship fund. We appreciate those families, who are able to help provide assistance to a friend in need.
